What is a Bonnet Grease Fitting?

The vented cap bonnet grease fitting is a ½” National Pipe Tapered (NPT) fitting that is installed into the bonnet of the valve. The bonnet grease fitting provides a port for pumping grease into the cavity of the valve and onto the internal components of the valve. This is to reduce wear and provide longevity to the components of the valve.

Materials

Heshka Oil offers a stainless steel grease fitting. The most common materials for bonnet grease fittings are 4140 carbon steel and 316 Stainless Steel. Other materials like 4130 carbon steel or 304 stainless steel can be used if requested or needed. 

Compatibility
